About Brue Holland - Boston Hypnotherapy
Her working life has consistently involved members of the public when her easy approach to problems and a ready dry wit helped things along, giving confidence and putting others at their ease. Many years were devoted to voluntary work as a Samaritan and Counsellor which further extended her expertise and empathy, becoming well known for her friendly concern and non-judgemental approach to the many difficulties which were presented. Brue has had a long term interest in therapeutic Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy and was uniquely trained via the IAPH enabling her to use her extensive knowledge of Analysis and Suggestion in a direct and positive way. As an experienced and professional therapist she treats many different problems. Specialising in those problems and symptoms which have an emotional base e.g. Insomnia; Phobias; Anxiety; fear of being sick (Emetophobia); IBS; Bruxism (grinding teeth); Weight; Smoking; Social Phobia (a fear of being judged) which includes such diverse problems as shyness; blushing; self consciousness; low self esteem etc.
For these and similar problems she finds the tool of Analytical Hypnotherapy is second to none. It is a unique approach in identifying and resolving symptoms once and for all and Clients who have been through Analysis with her have commented on how swift and easy it was for them to relax and come through the experience positively. Brue also uses Suggestion Therapy (also known as Hypnotherapy or Clinical Hypnotherapy). Although there are exceptions, she mostly uses Suggestion combined with visualisation and NLP to aid short term nervous problems such as exam/driving/wedding/nerves; help for an important interview/presentation; public speaking for an specific event etc. Suggestion therapy is only a short term solution and an excellent tool where appropriate. Cancer Care; Relaxed Childbirth; Sports Enhancement and Pain Control/Management are a particular interest. Hypnosis as a whole is a gentle non-invasive therapy and for pain in particular there really is no need to continue suffering in silence and hoping that tomorrow you will feel better. Help is available NOW and it is possible to control the severity of pain with the aid of self hypnosis. Brue considers that each client and their problem or symptom is unique and therefore adapts her treatment approach accordingly. To ensure that she is able to continue to offer the best service possible she keeps up to date with the latest thinking by further study at home and regularly attends regional meetings; seminars and tutorials on various subjects including:-
Brue feels that being a therapist who uses hypnosis to help others lead the lives they wish to lead is the best way forward and effectively uses analysis to remove problems and symptoms and considers her decision to join the professional body of the IAPH as an Hypnotherapist had been inspirational.
